Description:

This Jr. Project Manager will be in support of the current project that we are working on supporting one of our largest Telecommunications customers. We have placed multiple foreman/technicians in support of this outer island work. Their Fiber Broadband Infrastructure Project consists of expanding middle-mile infrastructure throughout the State of Hawaii. Their project will build 15 new middle-mile fiber routes, over land and undersea, to better connect the islands. The position is responsible for project tracking, project reporting, contract deliverables, invoicing, and other project related tasks.

This person will be working alongside their current Program Manager in support of this project and other projects in the pipeline.

Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and/or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task.

Perform work in accordance with industry standards.

Be familiar with BICSI standards, read and follow design engineers’ instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures.

Interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies.

Maintain inside and outside plant records during installation.

Participate in engineering, permit, and construction processes to support project contracts.

Respond to and participate in emergency and outage situations that require heavy construction capabilities.

Ensure that all work considers the safety of the customer and general public and compliance with all governmental orders.

2. Experience/comfortable with maintaining communication with external customer on the projects.

3. Experience working multiple projects at a time. Primary focus will be on the 5G project, but this person will also be helping out with other small projects, such as schools on Kauai and Maui.

   Experience within the telecommunications industry is a plus.
