Overview

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery a level II neonatal intensive care unit a nationally accredited cancer center comprehensive neurosurgery advanced orthopedic program and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

CHI Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, includes 150+ clinics delivering quality care to patients across Nebraska and southeast Iowa. Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services, including Family, Internal, Geriatric, and Pediatric Medicine, in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts therapy sessions with patient by doing individual, group and family and/or significant other counseling and education to assist these individuals in achieving defined treatment goals

  • Refers and collaborates with care team, other agencies, and significant others having a joint interest in meeting the needs of the patient

  • Respond to crisis situations and provide crisis intervention to patients in assigned program

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree, Mental Health Counseling or Social Work

  • Must have an active license in state of practice - NE: PLMHP, LMHP, or LIMHP

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required

Pay Range

$30.16 - $35.87 /hour
