Responsibilities
Performs tasks and applies procedures and policies using knowledge of military and civilian personnel awards and decorations. Utilizes the Military and Civilian Personnel Data Systems to update and inquire on military and Civilian awards and decorations. Coordinates the Wing Recognition Boards, Maintains current knowledge of Air Force Instructions, DoD Manuals and the Personnel Service Delivery (PSD) Handbook.
Provide accurate and timely customer assistance; assist all customers with all corrective actions related to military and civilian awards and decorations
Provide weekly/monthly/annual products to wing leadership to assist in the administration of awards and decorations
Ensure information and appropriate forms/documents are provided to customers on personnel action request and provide referrals to other agencies
Compare personnel records with source documents, and management products; submits updates/corrections as needed
Ensure decorations copies are forwarded to required promotion boards
Ensure all decoration copies are forwarded for inclusion in member’s records
Ensure personnel action request are accurate, updated and maintained to include, but not limited to special orders for awards and decorations
Ensure documents required to support service awards and decorations are processed
Conducts weekly testing for on end-of-course exams and foreign language proficiency
Perform other duties and assignments as required to include preparing and processing correspondence, reports, forms, and operating office equipment
Qualifications
2-4 years military personnel systems and procedures experience required; U.S. Air Force military personnel experience preferred
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel) computer skills required, knowledge of MilPDS, DCPDS desired
Good communication and people skills, ability to work well with customers and various levels of authority
