Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Kennesaw, Georgia

Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, your role will be pivotal in managing the company's expenses, ensuring accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role is located in Kennesaw, Georgia, in the industry of accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing and verification of vendor invoices, while ensuring they adhere to the company's policies.

• Prepare checks and process ACH transfers for timely and accurate vendor payments.

• Communicate with vendors to handle payment inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and adhere to payment schedules.

• Carry out reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and ensure vendor statements and payment records are accurate.

• Process and review employee expense reports, making certain they comply with company policies and are properly documented.

• Maintain an organized record of all transactions, including invoices, payment receipts, and correspondence for auditing purposes.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks, such as preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and recording all payable transactions.

• Ensure that all accounts payable processes comply with company policies, tax requirements, and legal regulations.

• Provide necessary documentation and evidence during audits for accounts payable transactions.

• Assist with accounts payable processes related to inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory-related invoices, purchases, and payments. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficiency in Account Coding

• Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
