This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our Atlanta (Kennesaw), Georgia office to support the growth of our Industrial Water and Wastewater Process Design practice. The senior engineer will be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team locally, nationally, and globally, and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their business challenges. Your Impact

  • Lead or support the execution of industrial wastewater treatment projects through the full project cycle - concept to implementation, including feasibility and treatability studies, process optimization, cost estimates, detailed designs / construction plans, specifications and commissioning

  • Work directly with clients to determine project and proposal needs.

  • Lead or support large opportunity pursuits.

  • Ability to manage, direct and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supporting permitting efforts with local, regional, and national permitting agencies, including interacting with regulatory agencies.

  • Training and mentorship of technical staff, including participation in WSP’s Practice Area Networks.

  • Expand your and WSP’s profile by publishing and presenting at industry conferences.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering, with emphasis on industrial wastewater treatment.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related industrial wastewater treatment experience (with emphasis on process designs), including project and business management (at least 7 years as Project Manager).

  • Relevant professional certifications preferred (PE, or other registrations)

  • Significant knowledge and experience in evaluation, design, and permitting of industrial wastewater processes.

  • Experience with conducting and managing various projects and other engineering disciplines for design (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Controls).

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

  • Possesses and demonstrates an enthusiasm to collaborate with a talented team to contribute with developing new opportunities and client relationships.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.

  • Active member of a local and/or national professional organization.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
