Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Mid/Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join the team. This role can be located in Kennesaw, GA (HQ), Overland Park, KS, Naperville, IL, Fort Worth, TX, Idaho Falls, ID, or Kennewick, WA. In this role, you will develop calculations and designs for equipment mounting, foundations, and pipe supports. Responsibilities Our team supports our federal clients to solve a wide range of critical engineering problems. Our work covers both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities as well as facility-related infrastructure. Services range from full-scale design of new or replacement facilities to life cycle management to maximize their useful life and availability to assisting with the decommissioning of facilities that have reached the end of their useful life. Design and analysis of changes to existing power plants as well as new plant systems Develop Equipment mounting, foundation design and pipe support calculations and designs Support of engineering design and analysis projects for the power industry Perform work requiring the application of basic technical principles, theories, standards and concepts. This will include reading and understanding design drawings and technical specifications as necessary to support preparation of project deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluations Perform reviews, assemble and prepare design modification packages Develop specifications of structural components Perform site walkdowns to identify design solutions and develop cost-effective problem resolutions Perform static equivalent and dynamic analysis of structures for seismic loads Gain familiarity with and application of industry codes and government regulations Design of pipe supports, structures, etc., (at nuclear power plants is desired) Interface with other staff engineers as well as engineers working out of our offices Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university Minimum 3 years' with power system design experience for mid level engineer Minimum 7 years' with power system design experience for senior level engineer Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired Knowledge of discipline specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production software Proficient in Word and Excel Familiar with the International Building code and building code design Good writing, presentation, and communication skills Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches Must be a U.S. Citizen #LI-SH7 Salary Range The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Pay Range USD $78,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.<
