Description Security Officer - SECURITY, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA The Security Officer II receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a full performance level technical security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces Kadlec, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigates reports of potential criminal conduct against Kadlec staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high risk areas. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Shift: 0.8 FTE Full time, Evening shift, 32 hours Required Qualifications: Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. 2 years Law Enforcement/Security/Military/Corrections experience, or related work experience in a healthcare setting, or relevant college coursework deemed important to the job. 1 year experience working within the Kadlec Security department, passage of the Security Department SO2 Promotion Test, and the passage of a Security Department administered oral board. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, History, or English. Prior experience in healthcare setting. Why Join Providence?
