Job Description Position Overview: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, and leading a team of warehouse staff. This role involves coordinating activities related to receiving, storing, and shipping goods while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that the warehouse runs smoothly and effectively to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Team Management: * Supervise and lead a team of warehouse workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations. * Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development. Inventory Management: * Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely processing of orders. * Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels and minimize discrepancies. Operational Efficiency: * Develop and implement warehouse procedures and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency. * Monitor and optimize warehouse operations, including the layout, equipment, and storage solutions. Safety and Compliance: * Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. * Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment. Quality Control: * Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, addressing any issues promptly. * Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage and maintain quality. Reporting and Documentation: * Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities. * Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and staff productivity. Customer Service: * Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to resolve any issues related to orders or inventory. * Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to warehouse operations. quipment Maintenance: * Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving. * Ensure equipment is used safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
