Smith Brothers Farms, a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business, is seeking a hands-on Dairy Plant Supervisor to join our team in Kent, WA. This is a critical role that will oversee all swing shift operations of the facility for the dairy plant, ensuring policies and procedures are followed which maximize a safe workplace, food safety, and productivity. Requirements: • 3+ years in a non-union leadership/supervisory role in a dairy plant. • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters, problem solving skills are a must • Excellent computer skills, Excel is a must. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely • Proven track record in handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively. • High energy and a positive outlook with the passion to make things better at every opportunity. • This is a safety sensitive position. Pre-employment drug test including cannabis is required. Essential duties/responsibilities: • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations • Oversee plant activities including raw receiving, processing, packaging, sanitation of all plant equipment and employee training. • Provide the day-to-day operational leadership for union plant employees. • Ensures the fulfillment of customer orders within the specifications of quality, quantity and cost. • Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. • Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, SQF, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.) • Share a trusting relationship with operations staff. • Provide leadership and sets objectives for the operation based on corporate goals and customer needs. • Communicate operations related requirements and solutions to the relevant departments • Analysis of plant results, discussing areas of concern with the management team About the Company: Smith Brothers Farms is a privately held family business located in Kent, WA.
