What are we looking for?

The Associate Test Engineer, under the guidance of more senior engineering personnel, performs testing and evaluation of products and communicates test results to clients verbally or with final reports.

What you’ll do:

  • Read and determine the applicability of national or corporate test standards.

  • Set up and perform appropriate tests.

  • Document required data and results.

  • Create final test reports.

  • Communicate final test results to the client.

  • Work with peers to create custom test systems

  • Follow all lab procedures

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years related experience OR Associates degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 2+ years of related experience

  • Related experience is referring to but not limited to experience with product testing for mechanical performance.

  • ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) PDP Certification preferred

  • Experience with transit or package testing.

  • 1+ years working directly with customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and understand test standards and translate into test set-ups.

  • Organization and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently or with teammates in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Able use basic and powered hand tools.

  • Able to crawl on concrete floor or climb ladders.

  • Able to stand and work on a concrete floor for most of a shift.

  • Flexible and able to adjust to changing job demands.
