Description

We are offering an opportunity in the Healthcare industry, situated in Kettering, Ohio. This role is for a Medical Records Clerk, where you will be tasked with maintaining and processing medical records in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Process and identify returned physician’s orders, referrals, face to face documentation, and additional paperwork into the EMR system.

• Manage and keep the physician database up-to-date.

• Provide assistance to clients, their families, and co-workers in understanding records procedures and order tracking.

• Prioritize indexing of outstanding documents to minimize write-offs.

• Prioritize indexing of incoming referrals to facilitate access to care.

• Understand and practice agency policies and procedures.

• Assist in preparing for surveys by retrieving requested documentation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in medical terminology.

• Demonstrated basic office skills.

• Experience in scanning and managing documents.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to maintain and organize medical records.

• Experience in healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance sectors is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
