Responsibilities
Testing lumber moisture content, prong tests and oven dry tests.
Evaluation of drying defect.
Record keeping of volume of dried charges.
Responsible for cost controls, housekeeping, and effective planning for work execution.
Monitor downtime and recommend necessary improvements.
Cover shifts when needed to do so.
Qualifications
Understanding of operational and environmental compliance for boiler operations and demonstrated ability to meet compliance regulations. Basic trouble shooting skills for Boiler, ESP, and all mechanical equipment involved in the process. Demonstrate knowledge of dry kiln operations to include mechanical (fans, traps, baffles, vents, motors). Ability to work and communicate well with others and facilitate change. Must be safety minded, possess good organization, planning and oral/written communication skills. Must be certified on forklift and front-end loader.
