Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL. 330040, J4. Responsibilities Responsible base operations support including facilities, grounds maintenance, air conditioning, warehouse services, equipment maintenance/repair, power generation, environmental/safety compliance, disaster preparedness and transportation support. Develops input for the Program Operating Memorandum (POM) and is responsible for developing and executing the J4 annual spend plan. Organizes and directs the execution of numerous comprehensive and diverse logistics programs. Principal advisor to the Director for Logistics, Command Group, and other management officials on all aspects of Headquarters Support services and facilities management. Responsible for all phases of the command's supply management, property accountability, and procurement. Makes managerial/executive decisions without prior clearance from the Director. Assist command leadership and Crisis Action Team with all aspects of hurricane planning, preparation, sheltering, evacuation, and recovery efforts. Experience integrating separate logistics support functions in planning a total logistics management program. AND 3. Experience applying regulations and procedures related to acquisition, procurement, and contract administration.
