Job Summary:
As the General Manager of the Ski Tip Lodge you will lead a team of restaurant and lodging professionals, focused on delivering the highest quality guest experience. The Ski Tip Lodge itself, is a former 1800s stagecoach stop and one of Keystone’s oldest buildings. It has been transformed into a cozy 9 room bed and breakfast. The Lodge is also home to an award winning prix fixe restaurant. Dining guests of the Ski Tip Lodge experience a rotating four-course dinner menu and thoughtful service that continually receives rave reviews. As a 6-time recipient of the OpenTable top 100 restaurants, the Ski Tip delivers one of the best dining experiences in the state of Colorado. The right candidate will have managerial experience in upscale full service dining as well as resort lodging operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of hospitality professionals to maintain the long standing tradition of service excellence.
Guide and support all facets of the operation to insure that an “experience of a lifetime” is delivered to each and every guest.
Be passionate about the hospitality industry and when necessary, lead change to keep the operation competitive in the market and current with industry trends in an effort to exceed guest expectations.
Exhibit keen financial acumen, proactive planning and strategic marketing of the Ski Tip lodging and dining programming to drive profitability and highest guest service scores
Inspire your team to have a desire to be the best at what they do both individually and as a collective
Recommend and manage projects to keep the property and its equipment well maintained and able to deliver to the demands of the operation.
Collaborate with other resort leaders to align the Ski Tip Lodge with Keystone and Vail Resorts direction and initiatives
Actively participate in resort and F&B leadership meetings
Develop and empower fellow members of the Ski Tip supervisory team
Operate business in a manner to meet or exceed budgeted margins
Regularly meet with Ski Tip stakeholders, in both group and 1:1 settings, to present, verbally or with visual presentation, the performance and direction of Ski Tip operations.
Work independently or as a member of a team to meet or exceed established goals and deadlines Adhere to and enforce all company policy, procedure and guidelines.
Insure that all reporting requirements for the entire operation are submitted ahead of the deadline
Enroll the operation, yourself, staff and resources in the participation of resort and local festivals/ events to enhance the value of the event, increase attendance and market the Ski Tip Lodge.
Other duties as assigned or as business grows / develops.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
College degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years in a management/supervisor role
Minimum 3 years hotel front of house hospitality experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Fine Dining establishment
Minimum 2 years with full budgetary responsibility for an operation
Minimum 1 year experience with maintaining restaurant reservation management systems
Computer proficient
Ability to read hospitality financial statements
Communicate easily and fluently in English
Willingness to work holidays and weekends Preferred:
Communicate easily in Spanish
Knowledge and experience with wine and beverage program management
Experience with Lodging inventory management and booking systems, all Microsoft office software applications, InfoGenesis - strongly preferred
High level of knowledge and experience with boutique Lodging / Hospitality operations
The expected pay range is $86,000 - $92,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
