DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your main responsibilities will include ensuring that all necessary tasks on assigned projects have a sufficient number of well-trained and qualified inspection personnel. You will also be responsible for accurately documenting project activities according to departmental requirements, interpreting plans and specifications correctly, and conducting appropriate quality control testing. Additionally, you will support and motivate employees to participate in quality improvement efforts, propose and implement new initiatives, streamline existing functions to eliminate inefficiencies, and foster a sense of ownership and pride in both group and individual work outcomes. Your role will also involve supervising engineering work to ensure compliance with contract requirements and established standards, as well as maintaining positive and professional interactions to uphold a positive image for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or

One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering. Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of a valid driver's license. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
