Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Database Technology Manager in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The role revolves around overseeing a team of Cloud Engineers and System Administrators specializing in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell. The position is situated within a continually transforming and fast-paced environment, requiring a balance of technical knowledge and people management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 10-15 Cloud Engineers and System Administrators working on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.

• Monitor and guide the team's activities from a technical perspective, ensuring efficient use of tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.

• Conduct code reviews and evaluate the architecture of various development projects.

• Manage ticket flow, ensuring tasks are efficiently assigned and completed.

• Communicate outbound information to directors, providing updates on team progress and project status.

• Conduct quarterly reviews of team members, offering constructive feedback and guidance.

• Engage in customer-facing activities, comfortable with liaising with high-level executives at large companies.

• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging team communication and cooperation. Requirements • Proven experience in a managerial role within the database technology field

• Demonstrated ability in people management, fostering team collaboration and promoting a positive work environment

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with the ability to design, implement, and manage software infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for automating and managing IT infrastructure

• Strong knowledge and experience in PowerShell scripting language

• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for planning, developing, testing, and delivering software

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and stakeholder management

• A commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in database technology
