Overview

ENERCON's Advanced Nuclear Division is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the ENERCON team at various office / site locations across the U.S. This role would support unique and exciting work in the advanced / new nuclear market including advanced and small modular reactor (SMR) technology development, plant siting, and licensing.

Responsibilities

Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical, engineering proposals Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met Formulate/develop detailed project reports Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and company's satisfaction Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up

Qualifications

Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in a nuclear energy facility Minimum of 5 years' experience in the nuclear industry as an Engineer or Project Manager Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related field) -OR- PMP Certification and 8 years' applicable experience Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a timeĀ
