Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Responsibilities You will provide review and coordinates approval of technical documentation submitted by the SWFLANT Navy Calibration Laboratory (NCL) contractor. You will review and approve external vendor capabilities and adequacy to provide laboratory support services. You will develop alternative approaches for calibration support for new or unique Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). You will conducts analysis and studies to develop calibration approaches for mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, electronic, and microwave TMDE for both TRIDENT and non-TRIDENT weapon and ship systems. You will provide technical review of calibration problem reports and corrective action developed by the SWFLANT NCL contractor. You will develop/administer metrology quality verification and process monitoring/surveillance inspections within SWFLANT NCL. You will serve as government technical authority to the SWFLANT NCL contractor. You will coordinate internal and external audits and inspections of the SWFLANT NCL. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing technical engineering configuration and design on calibration laboratory measurement systems and test equipment to develop solutions and procedures to resolve complex interrelated problems and issues in support of Navy Metrology and Calibration Program and Test and Measurement Systems (TAMS).
