Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join the WMCHealth Behavioral Health team at HealthAlliance Hospital’s Bridge Back Comprehensive outpatient and Opioid Treatment Program in Kingston, NY. The successful candidate must be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and be appropriately credentialed to work in Medicine with over 2 years of experience preferred. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a NYS License and must also possess an NPI number, active DEA, and have some experience coordinating care for patients with co-morbid medical, mental health, and substance use disorders. Job

Responsibilities:

The APP will be responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing MAT and methadone, within the scope of the Bridge Back program. The APP will work collaboratively with nurses, counselors, therapists, physicians, and program leadership to conduct psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluations, determine appropriate level of care decisions, and treat alcohol and opioid addictions through a harm reduction, evidence-based care model prioritizing MAT and methadone.

Through major capital investments, WMCHealth has reimagined its HAHV hospital on Mary’s Avenue in Kingston. In 2022, HAHV opened a newly constructed 25,000-square-foot emergency care center, a new, modern family birthing center, and a new intensive care unit equipped with today’s latest technology.
