Summary:

This Staff Physical Therapist Assistant will work in the outpatient clinic in the Late Afternoon/Evening hours. You will make your own schedule and decide how many hours you want to work each week. But this position will require at least 2 shifts per week (3 hour minimum shift) between the hours of 3-8pm. This position will carry out established treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, increasing strength, and other physical therapy related goals with various populations

Responsibilities:

Patients and families: Provide patient assessment, care, and information. Address concerns and complaints. Project a positive image of the departmental and hospital Physicians: and other healthcare team members: Promote coordination of care. Address concerns and complaints Community and Business: Provide education. Promote department and hospital.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• None.

LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

• Current NC Board of Physical Therapy license or eligible.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

• Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

• Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
