A.T. Still University KCOM - Physiology Research Assistant - Part-time in Kirksville, Missouri

Description

A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a part-time, non-exempt, Physiology Research Assistant on the Kirksville, Missouri, campus. The research assistant will be responsible for performing laboratory work including preparation of solutions and stocks, bacterial transformation, site-directed mutagenesis, DNA and RNA purification, and injection of RNA into oocytes. Additional responsibilities include animal surgeries, execution of experiments, data analysis and molecular modeling.

Major Job Duties

  • Experimentation (animal survival surgery, immunohistochemistry, western blot, etc.).

  • Lab managing (laboratory maintenance, ordering and stocking supplies, cataloging samples, help in oversight of students).

  • Data analysis.

Education/Experience

  • College-level knowledge of biochemistry, biology or chemistry.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
