Shoffner Acquisition Corp HVAC Refrigeration Installer in Knoxville, Tennessee

ShoffnerKalthoff, MES is looking for a HVAC Refrigeration Installer to join the team in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a permanent, full-time position. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience with Refrigeration, specifically in a commercial setting.

Your pay: Starting pay is dependent upon experience. Continued growth depends on you. Annual pay reviews.

    Your main Tasks:

  • Safety is our #1 priority. You must wear properly fitting PPE at all times.

  • Install refrigeration systems in commercial settings.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.

  • Ensure installations are completed on time and meet industry standards.

  • Connect electrical wiring and control panels.

  • Set up and connect compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other components.

  • Install and connect refrigerant lines consisting of different types of pipe and fittings

  • Perform start ups to verify the system’s functionality.

    Experience or Certification needed:

  • 4 years of Refrigeration Installation experience preferred.

  • EPA Universal or other HVAC related certification preferred.

    You need to be able to:

  • Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.

  • Be punctual and reliable.

  • Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.

  • Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.

  • Work efficiently in confined spaces.

  • Willing to be cross trained in different trades.

  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions that directly impact the project.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
