Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Project Leader II will oversee strategic procurement for Brunswick Boat Group’s Direct procurement spend, managing a $100M+ global category including fabricated components, canvas, hardware, and other materials for boat manufacturing. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain, this role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies, ensuring supplier readiness for NPI, and achieving supply chain objectives such as quality, service, working capital improvements, and cost savings.

As a procurement partner for renowned boat brands across 12 manufacturing sites, the role requires building strong relationships, managing complex operations in a matrix organization, and driving results in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include cost savings, supplier quality improvements, warranty metrics, and enhanced supply chain capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and lead strategic sourcing processes such as global supplier searches, contract management, negotiations & vendor selection, vendor relationship management including frameworks for vendor evaluation and engagement

  • Create and implement category sourcing strategies. Drive cost-saving initiatives, mitigate supply chain risks, and promote sustainability through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.

  • Act as a liaison with Product Development & Engineering to support NPI, productivity initiatives, and maintain a Preferred Supplier List.

  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for alternate materials and suppliers to ensure optimal supply solutions and mitigate disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business; MBA preferred.

  • 7+ years of supply chain, procurement, or engineering experience, including commodity management within manufacturing industries and multinational organizations.

  • Proven expertise in negotiating and finalizing long-term agreements with legal support, along with oversight of logistics and transportation.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others, and adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor, fluent in English, and committed to maintaining a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VAVE Experience preferred

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus

  • Experience in the marine industry.

  • Familiarity with low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel 15-25% ability to travel in US and Canada

The anticipated pay range for this position is $82,600 - 133,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
