REHLKO Electrical Engineer - New Product Develo in KOHLER, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Electrical Engineer - New Product Development (NPD) Location: Sheboygan, WI Opportunity Provide technical direction for the Rehlko organization regarding generator set electrical (power) design and performance. Serves as a technical expert for engineering as well as other functional areas within the organization. Addresses questions regarding feasibility of potential applications and serves to provide technical guidance for units in the field. General expert in islanded and paralleled power system analysis, alternator performance, and effective in communication on abstract and practical power engineering practice. Serve as general expert for NEC requirements related to enclosure wiring. Serve as the primary electrical engineer in support of Automatic Transfer Switch design. RESPONSIBLITIES * Provide power system technical expertise to generator set product development, manufacturing, sales, and applications engineering teams. * Engage with both standard product and custom solutions. * Drive continuous improvement with updates to the generator set sizing program, standardization of technical publications, and captive toolset improvements. * Support education of internal and external stakeholders, especially new associates with limited power experience. * Provide support for customer and application-specific issues. * Engage with global network of alternator suppliers for technical support or special requests. * Provide technical direction for alternator product changes. * Assist overseas manufacturing location in product and process improvements. * Support cost reduction efforts related to power engineering. * Understand and interpret NEC requirements related to enclosure assembly wiring design. * Support new and sustaining product development through the electrical design of * Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). * Limited domestic and international travel (\< 10%) required. Skills/Requirements * A Bachelor\'s Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution. * 1-3 years of experience is preferred * Educational courses or experience related to power system analysis is desired, but not required. * Experience with fault coordination, symmetrical component and reference frame analyses, islanded power systems, and/or electric machine design are considered an advantage. * Software experience with MATLAB, SKM, SAP, or PTC Windchill is a plus. * Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is \$76,050 - \$96,050. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate\'s experience, their education, and the work location.
