Opportunity

Kohler Co, - a global family of brands valuing design, health and sustainability - is seeking a Videographer / Content Creator to join Kohler Co.’s in-house creative agency. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling video content with focus on social platforms and long-form online content. Your expertise in various styles videography, motion graphics, and editing will help us engage and expand our audience. You will work with our creative and studio production team from concept through execution, delivering world-class content for web, social media, internal audiences.

The Videographer’s strong creative and technical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will ensure Kohler Communications keeps evolving as a creative powerhouse.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as art directors, copywriters, and producers to create exceptional motion-based content for integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Handle many aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound, motion graphics, and editing.

  • Ensure video executions are visually appealing, effectively convey key messages, and are optimized for each social media platform's specifications and requirements.

  • Ability to think creatively in ways to repurpose content across many platforms.

  • Up-to-date knowledge with emerging trends and best practices in video production and across media channels to drive innovation and enhance content quality.

  • Use insights and metrics to inform video execution and improvement.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film / Video production is preferred

  • Prior experience with professional content creation.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, multi-task, bring in fresh ideas, give and receive positive and constructive feedback, communicate in 360 degrees, and confront and resolve conflicts.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and collaboratively with proven skills in organization, work planning, attention to detail, follow-through, and follow-up.

  • Proven experience as a videographer/content creator, with a portfolio demonstrating a wide range of projects, with a focus on short-form content for social media.

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects.

  • A passion for a range of production executions from UGC content to more elevated video production techniques.

  • Balanced proficiency in both videography and editorial techniques and motion graphics.

  • Strong storytelling abilities and the ability to translate marketing messages into visually compelling video content.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn and experiment with new techniques and technologies.

  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and their specific video requirements.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in social media marketing and video production.

  • Interest and/or experience in Generative AI technology for content creation, including ChatGPT, 11Labs, D-ID, and similar tools.

  • Agile work style with the ability to independently handle most aspects of video production process or function as a specialist collaborator on a larger production team.

  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft tools.

  • Fundamental motion design and animation skills, extended experience a plus.

  • Experience working with a multitude of camera formats from iPhone to DSLR’s to advanced professional production cameras.

  • Analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions for creative improvement.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
