Job summary:

The Quality Compliance specialist is responsible for ensuring Greene, Tweed’s Quality Management System compliance to AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and other relevant customer and industry related quality compliance requirements. This position also provides training, coaching, and skills development of quality system compliance to GT employees. The Quality Compliance specialist will also provide oversight and management of the Quality Management System (QMS), conduct supplier, 3rd party, and customer quality audits/visits, conduct required management reviews, monitor quality metrics reporting, conduct analysis of quality-related data, manage site based internal audit program, quality procedure creation and review process, oversee corrective and preventive action program (including the Quality Notification system), leads the effective closure of internal/external quality audit findings, and provides support of contract and specification reviews.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain site metrics to measure quality performance and identify improvement opportunities

• Partner with GTC Functional leaders, site leaders, and value stream managers to develop and implement programs and initiatives to support QMS improvements

• Participate in or lead team initiatives to improve the Quality Management System, ensure projects are documented within the QMS, and consistently use available tools and metrics to support institutionalized practices

• Interface and manage external ISO/AS/NADCAP registrar activity and quality related customer visits or audits

• Support Customer Specification Review process and ensure effective closure of events in a timely manner.

• Serve as technical expert and trainer globally on quality systems including knowledge of the AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.

• Manage Kulpsville internal audit program and ensure timely completion of audits and formal documentation of audit findings. Support the continuous improvement of internal audit programs in global sites as requested.

• Manage and ensure the timely and effective closure of corrective actions cited during Kulpsville internal and external audits and support global sites in this manner as requested.

• Identify and conduct relevant quality related training needs in Kulpsville per QMS or regulatory compliance requirements, including internal auditor training, and support other sites in this manner as requested.

• Ensure effective issuance, maintenance, and retention of internal/external Corporate and Kulpsville QMS documents

• Prepare and facilitate scheduled management reviews (review of the performance of the quality management system) for Kulpsville Site and assist other sites as requested.

• Collaborate with other Quality team members in the analysis of data and problem solving activities

• Provide support to internal functions in the application, maintenance and improvement of quality systems and department specific processes.

• Influence the Quality Culture of the organization and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Stays abreast of pending changes to quality standards and researches industry best practices in order to prepare the organization for changes and refine processes to incorporate best in class solutions.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree required

• Certified Green Belt or Black Belt desired (or equivalent Six Sigma knowledge)

• Certified lead Auditor for ISO9001 and/or AS/EN9100 preferred

Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in Quality Compliance preferably in Engineering/Manufacturing or related industry.

• A minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in technical (Quality, Product Development, etc.) face-to-face business relations with customers

• Demonstrated experience with QMS development, management and certification/accreditation to ISO9001

• Excellent written & verbal communications skills commensurate with audience. Will be interacting with strategic customers and suppliers, third Party Certifying Bodies and Auditors, and multiple internal functions.

• Strong analytical/statistical skills

• Ability to think strategically and help translate strategy into clear objectives and metrics

• Ability to build relationships across departments and with key stakeholders

• Ability to execute tactical plans, work independently as well as coach and guide global team members

• Ability to act with a sense of urgency and take immediate action when goals are not being met

• Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and help foster change within the organization
