Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Laborers to work in La Crescent, MN. From: 08/10/2024 - 11/10/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day Hours worked over 48 in one work week, are paid at one and a half times the regular rate of pay. ESST Law: Effective 01/01/2024. Hours listed are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. A worker can earn bonuses based on performance. Bonuses are based on performance and are at the sole discretion of the employer. Must Apply By: 09/26/2024 JOB DUTIES: Pick, fill 30 lb. bags, and harvest apples. Tying young apple trees to wires. Thinning apples when necessary. Workers will be using ladders and platforms during operations. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, walking, sitting, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
