Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for stacking and keeping glass racks full of product and performing basic pultrusion machine operations. Working with fiberglass in three different areas to start: lifting (30 - 50 lbs), Machine Operating (pultrusion) (lifting 20 - 40 lbs), and cutoff (lifting up to 80 lbs).

Responsibilities

  • Stack and maintain glass racks full of product.

  • Operate pultrusion machines and perform basic machine operations.

  • Work with fiberglass in various departments requiring lifting of 30-80 lbs.

  • Use hand and power tools efficiently.

  • Measure materials using tape measure and calipers.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly.

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Experience with tape measures and calipers.

  • Ability to lift 30-80 lbs depending on department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6-12 months of consistent work history in any field (manufacturing experience preferred).

  • Farmhand experience.

  • Experience reading calipers is a plus.

Work Environment

Constant standing, moderate to heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), and bending. Exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals due to the manufacturing process of fiberglass, though direct handling is not required. The pultrusion area has a strong smell similar to GEOTEK. Team size is approximately 40 people per shift. Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection are required. Employees must wear jeans and long-sleeve shirts due to fiberglass exposure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA CROSSE, Wisconsin.
