Hiring Salary Range: $97,100 - $126,800

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.

The impact you will have in this role:

Provide leadership and support for initiatives to enhance supply chain processes, value-creation, continuous improvement, inventory management and service. Lead a team of Supply Chain Analysts and Storekeepers to ensure works is completed safely, efficiently, and effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate the storage and disbursement of material required to support operation/maintenance activities. This entails working with plant and field personnel and purchasing to effectively forecast and coordinate the purchase, receipt, and issue of material in order to minimize inventory investment.

a) Ensure the availability of material whenever it is required by monitoring and expediting short supply items and by working with key stakeholders to determine needs.

  1. Develop and promote a team approach for decision making and problem resolution. Ensure the safe efficient and productive operation of the inventory and warehouse process

a) Provide team leadership in establishing goals and monitoring progress.

b) Hire and coach team members while developing a highly productive work group.

  1. Responsible to be the liaison between the Supply Chain function and warehouse locations.

  2. Coordinate or perform the collection, editing, data entry and/or distribution of information necessary to support the computerized materials management system. Utilize physical inventories and other methods as required to ensure the accuracy of this information.

  3. Coordinate transportation of material and supplies using both company trucks and common carriers. Initiate and trace necessary freight claims with carriers and works with vendors, purchasing, and user departments to resolve any discrepancies with material delivered to warehouses.

  4. Ensure that warehouse equipment and facilities are properly maintained and utilized. Arranges for safety checks of slings, clamps, etc. used by warehouse personnel to handle equipment or material.

  5. Remains current on state-of-the-art Supply Chain techniques, as well as new material or equipment developments and applications. Recommends changes as required.

  6. Travel frequently to Warehouses outside of La Crosse, primarily Alma, WI Generating facility (JPM) and other locations such as RockGen in Cambridge, WI and Elk Mound CT in Elk Mound, WI.

  7. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Management. Minimum of five (5) years warehouse or supply chain related experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills: Ability to read and understand complex technical information. Computer literacy. Knowledge of material specifications such as ASME, ASTM and ANSI required. Knowledge of buying procedures. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated, strong organizational and time management skills. Strong knowledge of supplier management, materials handling, and inventory control.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver’s License

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, squatting, bending, reaching/stretching, twists upper body, climbs ladders and stairs. Lifts up to 25#. Ability to operate computer keyboard and mouse, telephone, fax, and office equipment.
