POSITION: Obstetric Nurse Navigator - Family Medicine/Obstetrics Clinic

DUTIES: Act as the primary point of contact for pregnancy patients for the call center, staff, patients, hospital, L&D, referrals, MFM, WIC & families. Create and maintain an Obstetric patient list. Preview new patients who are initiating obstetrical care. Assist with managing and obtaining maternal records between multiple agencies, ensuring the adherence of HIPAA guidelines. Provide education to patients a. Meet with all new OB patients b. Provide and review the OB education packet c. Contraception counseling Audit, review and resolve pregnancy episode documentation in the Electronic Health Record. Ensuring that pregnancy episodes are completed. Serve as lactation consultant as needed Create group visits like Mommy-n-Me or other prenatal groups Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from a Certified nursing program. Current and active Registered nursing license At least one year of clinic experience At least one year of experience with obstetric patient care Knowledge of equipment, and technology used in the nursing area

WAGE: $28.42 $42.63 per hour
