Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in LA PLATA, Maryland. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of budgetary control within a financial setting. As a critical member of our finance team, your responsibilities will revolve around monitoring expenditures, ensuring accurate budgeting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations and policies related to personnel expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the budgetary aspects of position control within the organization

• Ensure accurate budgeting and monitor expenditures consistently

• Maintain strict compliance with financial regulations and policies related to personnel expenses

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems including ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Handle accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular auditing and billing functions

• Use Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for various financial tasks

• Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget and Annual Operating Budget

• Participate in Budget Processes and Forecasting

• Conduct Account Analysis and manage Cost Allocation and Expense Allocation

• Participate in Financial Allocation and Annual Planning

• Utilize skills in Cash Forecasting and Economic Forecasting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas

• Ability to manage Annual Budget and Annual Operating Budget

• Experience in Budget allocations and Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting

• Experience with Operating Budget and Operational Budgets

• Skills in Cash Forecasting and Economic forecasting

• Experience in Annual Planning

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur software systems
