Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc. SoarnoL division is located in La Porte, Texas, and specializes in SoarnoL Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Copolymer (EVOH). Additional manufacturing facilities for SoarnoL are located in Japan and the United Kingdom.

Noltex was formed in June of 1994 and purchased an idled Du Pont EVOH manufacturing facility in La Porte. Noltex began production of SoarnoL resin in early 1996 after retrofitting the first of our plant’s production lines.

Our plant primarily serves the needs of the North and South American markets, and supplements product needs in Oceania, Asia, and Europe. With a total annual production capacity of 38,000 metric tons, our EVOH product line includes a wide variety of specialty SoarnoL grades in order to better meet the increased demand for this unique gas barrier resin.

The Financial Analyst records, analyzes and reports financial transactions to maintain record of companies’ financial position and results of operations in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). What You Will Do...

  • Reviews and analyze cost center reports and financials detail to resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare and analyze financial data for internal and external auditors, parent companies and tax preparers

  • Backup for Senior accountant and Controller

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts monthly.

  • Prepare financial forecasts quarterly or as needed.

  • Prepare annual budget.

  • Perform month end close duties, including reporting.

  • Manage multiple improvement projects as needed.

What You Will Have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • At least 10 years of experience required, of which 5 years should be in cost accounting in a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Prefer 2 years prior experience with forecasting and modeling.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) as well as international financial reporting standards (IFRS) required.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Macros

  • Prior SAP experience, strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication skills using the English language in both verbal and written forms required.

  • A high degree of competence with the ability to work accurately, attention to detail and the ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects while maintaining professionalism.

  • Indirectly supervise accounting team by mentoring the Senior Accountant and Accountant or supervising team when Controller is not available.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
