Assist the Quality team with the root cause analysis of electronic controls, electromechanical and mechanical components through the use of specialty test tools, equipment, and methods. Create reports and return of defective materials to suppliers. Work with suppliers to identify corrective actions to reduce PPM of electronics. May also assist in evaluation of incoming material to assess quality and shipping damage.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Monitor incoming rejected parts to salvage area and conduct component and product level autopsy tests as requested.

  • Evaluate rejected controls and electrical components to determine if parts are supplier issues or damaged caused in house.

  • Work with assembly operators, ABLs, and BLs as needed to analyze rejects and determine if root cause is supplier related, assembly related, or test equipment related.

  • Update Agile and Autopsy databases with Autopsy findings. Write professional, accurate and detailed technical reports.

  • Use Windchill or Technet to look up BOMs, PNs and drawings.

  • Host supplier representatives to review rejected components and disposition materials.

  • Review units upon completion of RLT testing.

  • Autopsy controls that are returned from field service calls.

  • Write clear, concise SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) to suppliers for part rejects.

  • May occasionally need to rework components to maintain production or reduce scrap costs.

  • Design, build, and repair minor test related equipment (test cords, test connectors, etc.)

  • Take ownership and the initiative to complete assignment with minimal supervision.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

  • Maintain neat, safe and orderly work areas.

  • Read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Be Certified as an QMS Auditor.

  • Scrap parts that are determined to be damaged in house.

  • Repair / Rework parts if needed to maintain production.

  • Comply with the Roper Corporation Quality Operating System.

  • Promote safety in all aspects of job, including wearing proper PPE.

  • Support special projects required throughout the shop, Kaizen, 3P, 6 Sigma, etc.
