Aerotek Injection Mold Technician in Lafayette, Indiana

Mold Technician

$21-$28.50 | Lafayette, IN

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, fixtures, and other mold components.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Robot experience (Star, Motoman - 6 axis).

  • Service, maintain, and repair dies, molds, and equipment.

  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with any injection press - injection mold, press in plastics or rubber.

  • Robot experience (Star, Motoman - 6 axis).

  • Experience with startups and changeovers.

Work Environment

  • The work environment is clean and fast-paced. As a tier-one automotive supplier, we are extremely busy, often working overtime. Safety gear such as eye protection and steel-toed boots is required. Our facility operates on a Just in Time (JIT) production system, meaning materials are quickly turned into products, which are then immediately shipped. Shifts are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, with a $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $59280.00
