Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Lafayette Team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Lafayette, LA

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.

Essential Functions:

• Support technical engineering and design of electrical projects within a multi-discipline environment.

• Ability to work with a range of low-medium voltage power distribution involving MCCs, VFDs, motor sizing, breakers, disconnects, grounding, lighting, etc.

• Safe work practices adherence; adherence to all site procedures and policies.

• Adherence to relevant industry codes.

• Ability to grasp client standards and requirements for installations.

• Interface with client personnel to ensure deliverables details and budget to meet expectations.

• Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing for effective installation.

• Perform power systems analysis, including Arc Flash, using modeling software.

• Work with other disciplines of engineers and designers, for deliverables and electrical scope completion.

• Develop electrical systems used in plant facility applications.

• Able to read, interpret, and if necessary, generate electrical and instrument system documentation.

  Requirements:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

• 4+ years of working experience.

• Previous experience working with power distribution projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.

• Attention to detail.

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

  Experience Preferred:

• P.E. License.
