Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Lafayette Team.
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Lafayette, LA
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.
Essential Functions:
Support technical engineering and design of electrical projects within a multi-discipline environment.
Ability to work with a range of low-medium voltage power distribution involving MCCs, VFDs, motor sizing, breakers, disconnects, grounding, lighting, etc.
Safe work practices adherence; adherence to all site procedures and policies.
Adherence to relevant industry codes.
Ability to grasp client standards and requirements for installations.
Interface with client personnel to ensure deliverables details and budget to meet expectations.
Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing for effective installation.
Perform power systems analysis, including Arc Flash, using modeling software.
Work with other disciplines of engineers and designers, for deliverables and electrical scope completion.
Develop electrical systems used in plant facility applications.
Able to read, interpret, and if necessary, generate electrical and instrument system documentation.
Requirements:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
4+ years of working experience.
Previous experience working with power distribution projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
Attention to detail.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred:
P.E. License.
