Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in a distribution center. In this role, you will primarily operate a forklift to load and unload trucks throughout the day. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform quality control tasks, receive products, and consolidate pallets.

2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 2:00pm-10:30pm,Friday 11am-7PM).

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift for nearly 90% of the day to load and unload trucks.

• Perform quality control on orders.

• Receive products and store them in the warehouse.

• Consolidate pallets.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of manufacturing/warehouse experience.

• 2-5 years of sit-down forklift experience (electric or gas).

• Experience printing shipping labels through UPS/FedEx or other transferrable software.

Work Environment

This facility, located in North Chicago, features brand new equipment and opened in March 2020. Although employees will not handle chemicals directly, they will transport sealed drums.
