Louisiana Bridge Builders Accounts Payable Clerk in Lake Charles, Louisiana

The Accounts Payable Clerk is committed to supporting the Company by processing accounts payable transactions in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Location

This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements against the appropriate purchase order.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
  • Record expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
  • Execute daily processes and controls while ensuring compliance with accounts payable and company processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.).
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

At a minimum, the Accounts Payable Clerk must have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, along with 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable and proven, proficiency, in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
