Overview

THE ROLE:

The First Shift Lead Technician I, Inventory Control will lead the Inventory and Process Control Cycle Count program, the Manufacturing Campaign Change & Reconciliation programs, and Inventory Process Audits that occur across multiple departments, shifts and facilities. He is responsible for supporting a team of up to 7 employees; making sure they are trained, adhering to company policies safely performing and achieving departmental standards and goals. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining exceptional inventory accuracy and detailed reporting. He will coordinate with and work closely with other HIM departments and locations, including Finance, Transportation, Production, Procurement, Distribution Centers, and 3PL warehouses in the execution of duties adhering to all Warehouse SOPs.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

• Update, adjust and maintain the master cycle count schedule and be responsible for Cycle count team of up to 7 working closely with warehouse shift leads & supervision and production management.

• HIM inventory accuracy within established standards by coordinating and being responsible for the daily cycle count utilizing the Oracle A-B-C process in accordance with current SOP and Work Instructions.

• Be able to oversee the Reject-Hold inventory areas in accordance with SOP (QAH118) and reconcile against Oracle inventory.

• Lead, monitor, and maintain the Manufacturing Campaign Change and Reconciliation program for both Liquid and Powder manufacturing in compliance with SOP and GMP and financial requirements.

• Train Production in the use and execution of the Manufacturing Campaign Change and Reconciliation program & the PF390 scrap process for both Liquid and Powder manufacturing in compliance with SOP and GMP and financial requirements.

• Lead & perform weekly/monthly inventory counts and audits across shifts to ensure inventory related activities and practices are being followed in accordance with procedure.

• Identify any procedural/process trends that negatively impact inventory accuracy and communicate accordingly so proper management action can be taken.

• Execute necessary inventory reconciliation for items relating to receiving, shipping, picking or replenishing errors to ensure inventory accuracy within HIM.

• Run cycle count compiles, and all related inventory control reports and Assist department Manager and Supervisors with running the Oracle Reports and assist in determining lot control products that require disposal or testing to extend expiration dating.

• Work closely with the HIM finance department and participate in financial audits when scheduled.

• Support Warehouse Leads and team in receiving and shipping activities and other warehouse activities as needed by department manager.

• Support management’s efforts towards continuous improvement in processes and safety

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team building skills in production manufacturing and warehouse setting.

• Receiving and Shipping of raw materials and finished goods FDA, GMP

• Warehouse, cycle count and inventory control experience

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

• Demonstrates initiative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Read, write, and understand English with good verbal and written communication skills.

• Computer Office Skills (i.e., Oracle or similar, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Ability to carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.

• Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.

• Ability to respond effectively and positively in a rapidly changing warehouse environment.

• Forklift and scissor lift operation up to 50% of time in narrow aisles.

Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience in warehousing with extensive knowledge of operations as they relate to Inventory Control functions.

• Knowledge and experience with WMS

Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
