TEKsystems OSP Inspector in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Overview: Our client, a leading company in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a dedicated Construction Coordinator to join their FTTH project team. As a Construction Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of fiber optic infrastructure projects. This position involves a mix of office-based work and field visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all construction activities carried out by appointed construction vendors.

  • Conduct quality control checks on job designs before issuing them to contractors to ensure accuracy.

  • Monitor the progress of construction jobs to meet scheduled intervals.

  • Verify completed work (as-builts) and review production reports and invoices for proper billing.

  • Estimate utility construction costs.

  • Participate in project walkouts and stand mapping.

  • Oversee pipe proofing, design review, and approval processes.

  • Process requests for proposals (RFPs) and labor bids.

  • Manage material requests and pole permit applications.

  • Coordinate with construction contractors to ensure adherence to project milestones and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Maintain project build quality assurance/control.

  • Review and approve project as-builts and contractor invoicing.

  • Update project progress and required information in Workfront (project management tool).

  • Reconcile project materials.

  • Facilitate communication among developers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure timely project completion.

  • Handle other construction-related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an OSP inspector, field supervisor, or OSP designer.

  • Proficiency in Coax, HFC, or Fiber technologies.

  • Preferred experience with CATV construction vendors or providers.

  • Knowledge of OSP, FTTH, construction processes, vendor management, site visits, scope of work, cost estimation, quality control, and strand mapping.
