The FINANCIAL ANALYST is a self-starter who seeks to understand all aspects of the current Hospital financial and statistical reporting. Analyst will be r

esponsible for quality control of the General Ledger and financial reporting, including assistance with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

To be successful in the position the incumbent must be willing to invest the necessary time to understand the related systems to form the basis for making financial system improvements where needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Is knowledgeable in all areas of computer software, Payroll, Accounts Payable and General Ledger and assists other users as necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations for Asset and Liability accounts to ensure quality control and accuracy of accounting records.
• Effectively maintains all required records for the department.
• D emonstrates good organizational skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Accounting Degree required.
• Recent experience in the hospital field preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software packages and spreadsheets including excel.
