Duties: Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, and indoor common areas at Bluebird Lake Placid's property, which includes vacuuming floors, dusting, replenishing linens and towels, running laundry to the laundry area, loading washing machines, folding laundry, disinfecting bathrooms, delivering luggage to guests rooms. and washing windows. Communicate maintenance or security needs in a timely manner to appropriate manager or supervisor. Housekeepers will also need to do weekly, monthly, and annual deep cleaning of property. Will report directly to the General Manager at Bluebird Lake Placid. Travel is not required. Housekeepers will need to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and go up and down stairs. Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided.

No education required; no experience required at high-end hotel, resort or private club required. On-the-job training is provided.

Work hours: Mon-Sun, example shifts: 7:30am-2:30pm, 8am-3pm, or 9am-4pm 35 hours/week. Wage: $18.23 - $20.00 per hour, paid weekly. Gratuity-eligible position, so actual wage with tips may occasionally be higher. Overtime is available at $27.35 - $30.00 per hour. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $75.25 per week for a single bed in a shared room with access to kitchen and laundry. Cost includes one meal per day (breakfast). If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Thursday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of total employment period.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
