The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing social media and marketing campaigns and assisting with website updates. This position is responsible for providing timely, relevant and engaging content across our social platforms to support our goals for provider-specific promotions, patient acquisition and awareness, and celebrating cultural moments and recognitions.

Candidate must be a skilled communicator with a proven history in managing and growing social channels. This role requires a detailed understanding of publishing tools, analytical tools, and social marketing technology including native platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing budget across the social media platforms and providing regular and accurate monthly reporting on performance.

The ideal candidate will work across our marketing team and business to collect and polish content to be used across our social channels, marketing campaigns, and website. Proactive cross-team collaboration and synergy identification is a key component of this role. You must be a well-organized, highly motivated, roll up your sleeves, self-starter with a passion for communicating. You should thrive on creating engaging content and measuring results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with director and all internal cross functional teams including operations, provider marketing, communications, social media, and analytics teams to plan and execute social media campaigns

  • Manage creative development process with internal/external creative partners, including developing creative briefs / SMRFs             

  • Oversee social media plan from start to finish, managing timelines and making sure that all aspects of the posts are executed smoothly, on time, and within brand standards

  • Work collaboratively: develop, manage, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and keep them informed about social media plans, status, and results

  • Report on campaigns and augment based on analysis to ensure the most effective approach

  • Responsible for QA’ing campaign setup     

  • Make accurate and relevant updates to website content to ensure consistency between our social media and website content

  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new processes easily   

  • Continue to refine processes and look for innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or related field, with at least 2 years of paid and organic social media experience

  • 3+ years project management experience

  • Proven solid communications skills

  • Proven solid organizational skills

  • Proven intermediate analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a wide variety of paid, owned and earned social strategies, and how they work together

  • Proven solid writing skills

  • Agency experience

  • Design experience

  • Proven keen attention to detail

Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
