Brunswick Warehouse Administrator & Safety Coordinator in Lake Suzy, Florida

Primary Responsibilities:

Warehouse Administration:

Various administrative duties, ordering office supplies.

Onboarding and training new clerks

New Hire Orientation

Haz Mat Training

Introduction to workforce and zone duties

Working with Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager on special projects

Safety Coordinator:

Partners with and advises leadership to provide a safe environment for employees and actively supports the Brunswick Safety Management System (SMS) procedures and initiatives.

Ensures quarterly SMS reviews are performed with management.

Assists site leadership and Regional Safety Leader with implementing a proactive EH&S System, including company driven Safety Management Systems

Assists site leadership and Regional Safety Leader to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations.

Conduct inspections and audits.

Partners with site leadership on all incident investigations and performs a root cause.

Responsible for entering and updating incident reports in the AIC system.

Works with Human Resources and Regional Safety Leader on site specific workers compensation claims

Ensure implementation of corrective actions, EH&S policies, and best management practices with the support of management

Conduct EH&S training for facility personnel with the support of the Regional Safety Leader

Lead and facilitate Safety Committee, etc…in coordination with Human Resources and support from management and Regional Safety Manager

Manage handling and proper disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous waste with the support of the Regional Safety Leader

Manage Spill Prevention Containment and Countermeasure (SPCC) program.

Maintain required regulatory training including RCRA, DOT

Tracks safety training and maintains safety training records.

Participates in conference calls with Senior Leaders and Regional Safety Leader

Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.

Technical Capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

1-2 years of clerical or related administrative experience required.

Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Attendance occurrence record should be excellent.

DOT Hazardous Materials Ground Shipper certification- Preferred, not required.

RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification- Preferred, not required.

Travel Requirements:

Onsite attendance, no travel

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently. Employee may be exposed to high, precarious places. The warehouse environment can be hot (or cold) and dusty.
