We are looking for a talented and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and programming disciplines. This role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The Maintenance Technician will work to reduce downtime, enhance production efficiency, and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions, including issues with electrical wiring, mechanical components, and PLC programming.
- Install, adjust, and maintain manufacturing machines and equipment to meet safety and operational standards.
- Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and control system documentation to ensure accurate repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify production-related issues and proactively resolve equipment concerns.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for plant processes.
- Utilize PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming skills to troubleshoot and update automated control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Support the setup, calibration, and testing of newly installed machinery and equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, ideally in automotive, bottling, or packaging industries.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (motors, wiring, control panels) and mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes).
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) and troubleshooting of automated control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with industrial safety practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strong capacity for both independent work and team collaboration.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PLC/Electronics/Automation certification.
- Industrial Mechanic Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment hazards.
- Ability to react and move quickly in case of emergency.
- The role requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, handling, reaching forward, and speaking.
- Occasionally requires sitting, crouching, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
- Ability to lift, push/pull, or move up to 65 lbs occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule and Pay
- First Shift
- 7 am - 3:30 pm
- $18 + DOE
