Description

Robert Half has partnered with a company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. The selected candidate will be responsible for the administrative and clerical needs of our Finance Department, providing both internal and external audit assistance as required. Located in Lakeland, Louisiana, this is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the Finance Department

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance with company policies

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Assist with internal and external audits as required

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Undertake special projects as assigned

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel proficiently

• Perform accounting functions such as check processing and data entry

• Resolve discrepancies and handle accounts payable duties

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Proficient in Check Processing

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
