The Benefits Administrator that supports our Corporate business has responsibility for providing practical subject matter knowledge as an experienced professional in the areas of federal and/or state regulations affecting the administration of benefit and retirement plans including Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, IRS and FLSA. The Benefits Administrator manages the programs of the organization's global benefit programs and ensuring their cohesive and smooth operation. The Benefit Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring employees receive benefits while maintaining organizational efficiency and compliance. This role will fulfill a HR Generalist function and responsibility as needed. This is a remote position with the preferred location being California. Key Job Responsibilities: Benefits Administration includes work focused on assisting and advising employees with the benefit enrollment process, eligibility, coverage amounts/options, and claims filing including: * Health & welfare benefits (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, etc.). * Retirement benefits (e.g., defined contribution plans, profit-sharing plans, defined benefit pension programs, etc.). * Benefits enrollment and personnel records maintenance (e.g., hire date, marital status, dependent information, breaks in service, etc.). * Preparation and filing of documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage. * Ensuring compliance with insurance, tax, and other regulations and filing requirements. * Accountable for administering worker's compensation programs.

HR Generalist duties make up less than 20% of this role and include the following: * Providing guidance to managers opening a new or replacement role in UKG and assisting with the recruitment process. * Responsible for the administration of hiring, onboarding, changes, and terminations. * Updating and maintaining monthly HR metrics reports including org charts. * Leadership and facilitation in the Employee Engagement committee.

Below are the essential responsibilities. These responsibilities are performed with the oversight and guidance of the Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits role:

Benefits Program Oversight: * Directing and Planning: The Benefits Administrator is responsible for day-to-day operations related to global group benefits programs. These programs include group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, leave of absences, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plans, flexible spending plans, and retirement p * Quality Benefits Plans: Design and recommend new benefits programs, continually investigate, and improve existing ones, and supervise benefits administration. * Vendor Management: Working with the Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits, the Benefits Administrator negotiates with vendors and administrators to secure the best plans, options, and rates. They also serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. * Other duties as assigned.

Administrative Tasks: * Data Coordination: Coordinating the transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration. * Efficiency Enhancement: Evaluating and revising internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. * Documentation: Documenting and maintaining administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. * Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations, timely reporting, and accurate fees. * Other duties as assigned.

Employee Support: * Daily Processing: Handling enrollments, terminations, changes, onboardin and guidance, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, leave of absences, rollovers, QDROs (Qualified Domestic Relations Orders), QMCSOs (Qualified Medical Child Support Orders), distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing. * Employee Records: Overseeing maintenance of employee benefits files and collaborate and audit benefit processing with payroll and vendors on employee records. * Billing and Claims: Gathering employee data, processing monthly billings, and reviewing health and dental claims. * Other duties as assigned.

Analysis and Recommendations: * Benefits Evaluation: Analyzing current benefits, evaluating their use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends. The benefits Administrator will identify the company's stan * Cost Estimations: Reviewing both short- and long-range cost estimates/projections and statistical analyses regarding modifications in benefits programs. * Industry Trends: Surveying industry trends, completing benefits surveys, and analyzing complex benefits information. * Future Designs: Forecasting trends and assisting with future benefits designs. They develop specific recommendations for management. * Other duties as assigned.
