Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Civil/Environmental Engineer or Principal Geologist to join our Geoenvironmental and Remediation practice in Columbus or Cleveland, Ohio. This position is well-suited for a talented, highly experienced individual who is interested in being a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects involving site investigation and remediation for industrial clients, brownfield redevelopment, landfills, and other water and waste containment systems. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include: Developing remedial strategies and site-specific closure strategies; Managing complex site investigation and remediation implementation efforts for a variety of project sites; Managing challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management; Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to facilitate repeat business; Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability; Management and mentoring of early career staff and managing subcontractors; Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing; Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties. At times, the job may also include travel or field visits associated with site evaluations, remediation system evaluations, or client meetings. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or a related field. (required) Advanced degree in earth science, environmental engineering, or a related field. (preferred) Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.), if applicable.
