Floor Crew Location: Lakewood, Washington (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) Type: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift Compensation: $22.00 - $22.00/hr Benefits: Skookum is proud to offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to our eligible part-time and full-time employees. Qualifications: No experience required, paid on-the-job training provided. Must be able to learn and receive training to operate wet/dry vacuums, low speed buffer, high speed buffers, carpet extractor, and bonnet buffing. Skookum is seeking a motivated and reliable Floor Crew with a professional attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Carpet spotting - spot clean heavily soiled carpet prior to shampooing. Carpet shampooing - operate industrial carpet cleaner to shampoo carpets according to schedule. Sweeping - sweep each area according to schedule. Vacuuming - vacuum each area according to schedule. We/dry vacuum - operate wet/dry vacuum for each area according to schedule. Wet/dry mopping - wet/dry mop each area according to schedule. Strip wax from floor - apply stripping solution either manually or with floor care equipment according to schedule. Fill and empty mop buckets. Mix chemicals. Clean and put away equipment after use. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Requirements: Valid state driver license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance carrier. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
