Job Summary

This position will sit in either Lancaster or Middletown, and will be considered a hybrid role.

This position is responsible for completing assigned sales and new business work, primarily involving the administration and use of information technology systems and applications such as the main frame, SAP, Fieldbook, Design Manager and Microsoft programs. The individual in this role will perform tracking of new business schedule updates, so as to support the Sales Department in the completion of its duties and in utilizing budgeted and allocated resources in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the applicable Sales Region’s Technical Sales Specialists (TSS), Growth Execution Specialists (GES), Relationship Managers (RM) and Sales management team by following defined procedures for routine Design Manager service box placement(s), new business service scheduling, meter set/margin tracking and new business permits. Review and prioritize new business service backlog(s) with guidance and input from TSS, GES and Sales management.

  • Provide administrative input on various Sales/New Business reports and processes: Area Sales territories, budget data analysis, new construction (EBO) schedule, weekly service counts, outstanding meter set report, meter set log, and GET Gas support.

  • Coordinate area Ahead of Paving (AOP) and Ahead of Construction (AOC) work with local municipalities in conjunction with TSS, GES and area Operations/Engineering in order to meet paving schedules and add new customers.

  • Provide limited feedback to customers on an as-needed basis and assist the Sales management team on special projects as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Entry level knowledge or ability to learn systems and applications required to perform job duties (mainframe, DOJM, Word, Power Point, Excel, Mapframe, SAP, Fieldbook, Design Manager, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to problem solve.

  • The ability to identify viable process alternatives and improvements.

Education and Experience

Sales Coordinator I:

  • H.S. Diploma; Associate degree in Business or Engineering preferred.

  • 2 years administrative support; sales coordination experience or utility industry experience preferred.

Sales Coordinator II:

  • H.S. Diploma; Associate degree in Business or Engineering preferred.

  • 2 years in Sales Coordinator role preferred; at least 4 years total administrative support.
