DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Arconic is currently in search of Electrical Planner/Scheduler to join our Rolled Products North America in Lancaster, PA.

The Electrical Planner/Scheduler will plan, organize, coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, plant projects or project assignments utilizing in-house maintenance personnel, outside contractors or vendors. Position includes but is not limited to:  * project lay-out/scope of work  * purchase of needed parts and/or materials from bill-of-material  * basic specification and design and development of prints  * submittal of contract bids for quote and award  * project and contracted service oversight, i.e. project leader.

The primary objective of the Electrical Planner/Scheduler position is to facilitate daily work assignments and projects for maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure the tasks are performed to high quality standards and in an efficient and timely manner. esponsibilities Primary Responsibilities 

LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE: Provide project leadership, supervision, and technical information, as required, for in-house maintenance personnel and outside contractors performing Maintenance Department related work. Coordinate work requests and projects so that safety and quality requests get first priority and are planned to meet OSHA and Arconic requirements. Coordinate major or minor projects to meet budget and time constraints while ensuring minimal impact to manufacturing processes. Establish job scopes and time frames for all work requests and projects.  Tasks may require: generating PESHR's, RFA's, GANTT Charts; developing or obtaining drawings/prints from multiple resources; ordering parts and/or materials required; specifying part information and verifying equipment availability through production center. Communicate with EHS and all contractors in reference to all OSHA and Arconic safety requirements on all jobs performed.  Conduct pre-task briefs, as required, and ensure contractors follow all guidelines as per Contracted Services Policy. Purchase and obtain needed materials not available in-house. Evaluate contractor's capabilities, safety record and over-all qualifications. Generate and/or convert work requests into work orders and send them to the appropriate department for execution. As directed by Management Lead, support and/or assist on projects as the project manager for jobs that may not be his/her specific assignment. Responsible to determine work priorities and requirements through discussions / meetings with maintenance, engineering, production and contractors.

MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS: Strategic and forward-thinking approach Ability to interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics and equipment specifications. Working knowledge of OSHA and ISO9000 requirements. Demonstrated application of advanced technical knowledge of Oracle eAM or other computerized maintenance management system software Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Excellent root cause problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills Results-oriented Strong logistics and planning skills Strong project management skills Ability to identify and implement ABS continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrated advanced computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) Understand environmental policies and safety requirement. This includes ASAT, LTT, and SMACT Reporting. Understand, generate and follow PESHR and RFA requirements.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Ability to lead a team Communicate information to team members and with others (on team, across shifts, and across departments) as needed for successful completion of work. Participate in, accept and support consensus decisions of the team Engage with team members to resolve team member conflicts as directed by the team's conflict resolution model. Coordinate training of a backup planner/scheduler.

RISK MANAGEMENT: Act as a link in the teams Help chain, includes supporting plant manufacturing activities through on-call and / or call-in activities Report any problems, startup issues or abnormal conditions; recommend counter-measures and solutions Support the team in investigating EHS incidents, pulling the help chain as defined by EHS and Area procedures. Communicate with EHS and all contractors in reference to all OSHA and Arconic safety requirements.  Conduct pre-task briefs, as required, and ensure contractors follow guidelines as per contracted services policy. Maintain awareness of project GANTT charts, outage plans and communicate timelines to the Scheduler, Outage Coordinators and contractors. Act as a link in the teams Help chain, includes supporting plant manufacturing activities through on-call and / or call-in activities Report any problems, startup issues or abnormal conditions; recommend counter-measures and solutions Maintain 70% completion compliance of Preventative Maintenance Plans

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS: Follows all policies, procedures, and EHS requirements. Performs other duties as requested by management. Promotes and practices Arconic Business System concepts and philosophies.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications  High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy industry with an emphasis on all phases of maintenance; planning, organizing, coordinating and scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications  Minimum 1-year Project Leader experience Experience with Oracle eAM Associates degree in: Welding, Metal Fabrication, Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Sheet Metal, Machine Shop, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Heating-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning (HVAC) from an accredited institution
